Counseling God’s Way
An Introduction and Explanation
When: Thursday, February 26, 2026
Where: School of Ministry Classroom
To lay a foundation for understanding biblical counseling — what it is, why it matters, and how it differs from the world’s methods. Students will see how Christ and His Word are fully sufficient for life, godliness, and real change.

Where: Calvary Ellensburg
To equip the church family with a Christ-centered vision for counseling and discipleship. These sessions provide practical tools, biblical principles, and encouragement for serving one another with the sufficiency of Christ and His Word.
SESSION 1
WHAT COUNSELING IS
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isa 9:6 NKJV)

GOD'S WAY IN COUNSELING
Your testimonies also are my delight and my counselors. (Psalm 119:24 NKJV)
SESSION 3
FOUNDATIONAL TRUTHS IN COUNSELING
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV)

MAJOR THREATS IN COUNSELING
