This is the starting point. It is also a way to remain up-to-date throughout your season of training. We offer free content in the podcast and social media feeds. To get the most out of this free content, it is in your best interest to interact - make comments, reply to comments, post questions, share episodes, subscribe, add notifications, and generally engage with the content. (FREE).
The BCA Starter Course
This is the starting point. We get on the same page with Biblical Counseling and learn that the Lord is the actual counselor (not you, not the pastor, the elders, or the trained “experts”). God uses us to deliver His counsel, and we will discover how He does that. After this brief training, you will be invited to become a member of the IABC. (Tuition based: $97).
Guide to Membership with the International Association of Biblical Counselors (IABC)
In this tutorial, you will be guided through the IABC membership process. We invite you to become part of the IABC family and under the care of BCA and Jeff Christianson’s leadership. He will be your dean, mentor, coach, and teacher through the process of becoming certified. Membership is a prerequisite to Certification. There is a tuition based course that costs $87. IABC annual membership is $60. (TOTAL: $287).
The BCA Masterclass
This is the in-depth training program. You will learn the fundamentals of Biblical Counseling and meet all of the requirements for Certification. In this Master Class, you will get 12+ hours of video training, reading assignment tutorials, exam tutorials, counseling supervision and more. In this comprehensive step-by-step, start-to-finish process, you will be mentored through the Supervised Counseling Practicum with 1-to-1 Zoom meetings with Pastor Jeff (and his team). Your required books, materials and a computer with video capabilities will be described in the course syllabus. The BCA MasterCourse can be fast-tracked in as little as 90 days, and as long as 18 months to complete the program. (Tuition based $2997.00)
IABC Certification
Upon completion of the BCA MasterCourse, you will be eligible for IABC Certification. All of the requirements are completed in the course, so all that remains is to submit the completed file and application to IABC with Pastor Jeff’s recommendation. You will be dual-certified with the Biblical Counseling Academy as a bonus for being mentored in the BCA toward your IABC Certification. In this tutorial, you will complete the application for certification and present your material to the IABC Board of Directors for approval. The cost of this is $157 payable to BCA with an annual renewal fee of $99 payable to IABC. (TOTAL $957).
BCA Continuing Education, support and fellowship
Upon graduation, you will be offered an opportunity for ongoing support. This is available for the graduates of the BCA Masterclass.
One-on-One Coaching and Consultation
Pastor Jeff offers tuition based coaching packages. For example, we build church counseling ministries for pastors. We will build a custom training package and will train your church staff to begin an in-house counseling ministry. These opportunities are limited to a few churches per year. Please enquire about this option if you need specialized consultation. (One time 30-minute consultation with Jeff Christianson $97)
